Friends Dinners Raise Money for Scottish Rite Charities
The Valley of Roanoke, Virginia held their first Scottish Rite Friends Dinner on August 2, 2008 with more than 120 brethren and their ladies in attendance. The event included a silent and live auction with the net proceeds being split between the RiteCare program at Radford University and the House of the Temple historic Preservation Foundation, Inc. Approximately $6,000 was raised for Scottish Rite Charities. The Scottish Rite Friends Dinner offers a unique opportunity to raise funds for charity, promote Scottish Rite membership and cultivate a positive social activity for local Valleys.
